Premises Notification - Online Assessment
Any business producing Hazardous Waste has legal duty to register their premises with the Environment Agency under a system called "premises notification".

If you have previously registered your site, you will need to renew your registration. You can do this only within one month of the expiry of your current period. (For example, if your current period ends 19th September, you can only renew after 19th August)
The Environment Agency has stated on their website that "Premises that fail to renew their registrations may be liable to enforcement action".

IMPORTANT NOTE IN RELATION TO EXEMPTION FROM PREMISES NOTIFICATION
Please note that although your premises may be exempt from the Hazardous Waste Regulations requirements to notify your premises, this does not mean that you are exempt from other parts of the Regulations. For example, you still have a legal requirement to consign waste in the correct manner, using the correct documentation and to a properly licensed facility.
